About (Academic)
I am currently a research assistant at Stanford Vision and Learning Lab, working with Dr. Shangzhe Wu in Prof. Jiajun Wu’s group.
I have completed my MS in Computer Science (Progressive Degree Program), BS in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and BA in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of Southern California (USC), graduated summa cum laude and with Steven & Kathryn Sample Renaissance Scholar Distinction. I was also fortunate to be supported by USC Associates Senior Scholarship. At USC, I have worked with Dr. Yunhao Ge at USC iLab, under the supervision of Prof. Laurent Itti. I have also worked at Visual Intelligence and Multimedia Analytics Laboratory (VIMAL) at USC Informaton Sciences Institute (ISI).
During my master’s studies, I have completed a research internship at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) Shanghai AI/ML Group under supervision of Dr. Xinyang Jiang and Dr. Dongsheng Li, and I have also worked closely with Dr. Vibhav Vineet from Microsoft Research Redmond.
Previously, I have spent time at Tongji University School of Software Engineering, working with Prof. Lin Zhang, and I have also spent time as software engineering intern at ByteDance and Ping An Technology.
I am currently applying for graduate programs and research oriented jobs/internships. My research interest lies in computer vison and graphics ans visual generative AI, their applications towards human-centric AI, and solutions from data-centric perspectives. I have broad interests and open to other topics as well. Some of the specific interests include:
- Dynamics and physics understanding of computer vision
- Controllable and creative image/text/3D/4D generation
- Data-centric solution for generative AI
- Multimodal pretraining, learning, large language models and their applications
- Other general computer vision tasks such as detection, tracking, matching, super-resolution, calibration
